Hearing my mom screaming, I know something was not right. It was a shocked scream.
My mom instantly drag me to herself.
She was looking at me strangely.
Tobi, what happen to you? she asked with shaky voice.
Mom, what do you see? I asked amidst fear.
Where is grandma? my dad asked with an angry voice.
I pointed to the house.
My mom drag me to the car side mirror.
Looking into the mirror, I was shocked to hell on seeing my face growing old.
I try touching my cheek but all I felt was an old skin.
I would have notice it if grandma had a mirror in the house.
Immediately I saw it through the car mirror, my whole body started growing old. just like my body was been replaced.
My dad was angrily heading to the door while my mom was holding me.
She was shocked.
My dad was about entering when a big bird flew out.
It's feather is big enough to carry a human being.
My dad walk in screaming and shouting for grandma.
Meanwhile, I know she was the one that flew out just now.
My dad walk out looking up to the sky.
I guess she just knew it was her.
She turns to an eagle when her secret wanted to leak out.
Tobi, what did grandma do to you? my dad asked.
Nothing...
When did you start growing this flesh? he asked further.
I don't know until now, I said.
My voice was already shaking, I was about to burst into tears.
I know the reason for that, but I couldn't explain to my dad.
That will be my last say.
Enough of the chit chat, you need to get to the city now, my dad said screaming on top of his voice.
We all hope in and drove off.
Why still driving in the forest heading to the city, two big eagles came roaming around our car but my dad wasn't the fear type.
He keep going no matter their attempt.
We finally got to the main road leading to the city.
Immediately the eagles left, I started vomiting blood.
I was also coughing so hard, the blood was coming out both from the mouth and nose.
My mom was trying her best to stop the blood why my dad keep driving as fast as possible to the city.
He keep entering gallops and jumping the bumps on the road. He is expert in driving rough.
My dad drove straight to the pastor's house.
He already informed him while driving so they get prepared for our arrival.
Few miles to the church, the same eagle that flew out of grandma's house was seen blocking our way.
"Grandma why"? I asked gently within myself.
