I trembled as I heard someone try to open the box I was enclosed in.
**********************************
Dizzy and afraid, I looked at him and realized he was one of the mortuary security guards. He was holding onto bread and a water bottle.
"Who are you?" I inquired in a trembling voice.
" Heeeyy! Be calm.
I'm not a bad person; I'm a gregarious person. Here at the morgue, my name is Victor, and I work as a security.
I knew you were one of the innocent people these morticians kilIs when I spotted you walking dizzy outside.
I've seen them kiII a lot of innocent people who woke up in this place. All I'm attempting to do is rescue you from these people's trap.
They will not give up until they have kiIIed you; they have been looking for you to kilI.
I simply want you to know that I'm putting my life in danger to keep you safe. You need to leave this place as quickly as possible, so take this, eat, and replenish the state of your energy There's not enough time."
I swiftly grabbed the bread from him and started chewing on it ferociously, as though my life depended on it.
I could sense pity in his eyes as he spoke those words.
While I was chewing, he informed me he was going back to his post until I finished eating because he didn't want others to suspect him of doing something hidden, and then he would return discreetly to help me escape the mortuary's fence.
While he left for his base, he closed the box on me again, and I sat in it, feeling relieved but also worried about how I would get out of the fence, given that there were morticians moving up and down everywhere.
I was thinking about my family back home, how they would react to my return, and whether they would think I was a ghost. How will I explain it to them? All of these thoughts ran through my mind.
Just as I was ready to fall asleep, I jumped at the sound of the box opening once more.
The security was the reason. In his hand he carried a black polythene bag. He reached inside with his other hand and pulled out an extract mortuary's uniform.
"Hey, the moment has come. It's time for you to leave! Here is a spare uniform for you to wear.
As you wear this security uniform, make sure to walk straight outside pretending like one of us without looking left or right, not even behind you in order to avoid raising suspicions. Refuse to respond to anyone who greets you as they walk by.
All you need to do is proceed straight, open the gate, and exit. I left it unlocked."
I was given clear instructions by the security.
"Thank you so much! May the all-powerful God bless you and..."
I expressed gratitude to him while kneeling before him.
"Now go! You have no time. He cut in.
As I bravely headed towards the gate with a thumping heart, two more security guards passed me by and were speaking with one other, and I heard one of them say:
"WHATEVER THE LENGTH OF TIME IS, WILL STILL LOCATE HIM. AND WE WILL MAKE SURE TO END HIM THE DAY WE FIND HIM.
THE OWNERS OF THE BODY LIVE ON A COMMUNITY AT MECKLIN STREET AND...."
As I opened the gate, I stepped out into the darkness and was gone, leaving the place I'd call "THE WORLD OF THE DEAD" behind.

For Adam, the journey was far from over. His miraculous return from the brink of death would become a tale whispered in hushed tones—a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the unyielding will to survive against all odds.
The narrative about what happened to him went viral, raising awareness among hundreds of individuals about the truth behind the morgue.
From a reliable source, i learned that Adam now lives in Italy and is now married to a beautiful and caring woman and they have two kids.
He's now a very powerful minister of the gospel of Jesus christ.
He's never returning to his country anytime soon.
THE END!!!
How was the story?
