Joseph woke me up the next day with breakfast in bed.
But I couldn't get up because I was so weak, that has been my experience ever since I discovered that I was pregnant
Some days I will wake up very strong and healthy and some days I will be very weak that to even get up from bed would be a heavy task for me.
But I managed to get up after some time and Joseph asked me if I was okay and I said I was fine.
After breakfast, I went to the bathroom and freshened up and went downstairs to meet Joseph in the sitting room where he was discussing with his friends because it was on a Saturday and he didn't go to work.
He told them about all the evil that Cynthia was doing to us and they asked him how I have been after all that and as they turned they saw me coming and wanted to divert the topic but I told them not to because I already heard everything and I'm not angry with Cynthia and I don't even have any reason to be angry with Joseph either because of our love.
Infact his friends were more than happy about my decision and I also saw the joy in Joseph's face when I said that.
He just hugged me and kissed me so deep even forgetting that his friends were around.
Joseph asked me to get something for his friends to eat so I left them and went into the kitchen.
As i made to leave Joseph called me back and asked me why I was becoming so bigger.
He said he could see that my waist enlarged and my breasts are even getting bigger and all that.
I was just looking at him because of the way he was examining my body and I now asked if he has now become a doctor or something.
But he said I should stop it and tell him already, if it's what he was thinking.
I wanted to tell him the truth that I was carrying his child but I was too shy to tell him in the presence of his friends.
So I just excused myself and ran into the kitchen to prepare food for his friends.
Joseph was not satisfied with my lies and decided to follow me to the kitchen so he could get his answers.
He met me in the kitchen and asked me again if I was pregnant and this time around I told him to hold on so I went upstairs and brought the pregnancy result for him and he opened it and saw it clearly with his eyes.
I was hiding my face because I was shy to face him.
He started crying and thanking God at the same time . He first of all knelt down before me and held my waist and was just rubbing my belly and crying and thanking God.
He also thanked me for making him complete man .
Baby, thank you for making me a complete man.
Thank you for not giving up on us.
Thank you Jesus for fighting this battle and giving us victory.
Father may your name alone be glorified forevermore.
My love, I thank you for proving your love towards me.
Even in my short comings, babe you didn't leave me alone, you even discovered that you were pregnant for me and you also heard about Cynthia been in the my village as my wife but still you held on to our love
Even though you didn't talk to me, I wasn't picking up your calls, babe that would have given you a reason to terminate this pregnancy but you were still believing in me and you kept it for us.

I couldn't help but joined him in crying.
His friends didn't know what was going on in the kitchen because they were busy watching TV and the sound could not allow them to hear our discussion.
I told Joseph that I truly loved him because he did too.
And even when I heard about Cynthia and him being at the village, I decided to wait until the day he returns so he can give me his final word.
He became so excited that even asked me not to prepare the food for his friends anymore but he was going to cook for everyone.
So I stood by and watched him prepare the food and after some time, food was ready and I helped him to serve the meal.
As we were all eating, he now told his friends about good news and they were all happy for us both.
Joseph called his father and informed him about the pregnancy and he was very excited and he congratulated Joseph for proving to be his true son
So he asked Joseph when he was going to pay for my bride price and Joseph told him that he will do that in the next three days because our wedding was just in a less than two weeks.
So his father also told him that whenever he was ready he should let him know so he can come along with some of his kinsmen to my place for the marriage right.
Joseph asked me if I had told my mom about the pregnancy but I said no because I haven't informed her yet.
So he also asked me to tell my parents that he and his people will be coming in three days time for the marriage right.
Like I really couldn't wait to finally get married to the love of my life after all the attacks from my own close friend.
After the call with Joseph, his father was like.
Ehen! This is how it should be nah!
How can you just force your first son to marry any mammy water that just came out from the river and claimed that she is pregnant for him just because she managed to drug him.
What if the pregnancy does not belong to him?
As he was still talking to himself, his wife, Joseph's mother over heard him and came close to know what he was talking about but he didn't answer her.
So Joseph's father informed his kinsmen that they were to follow him to Joseph's place in the city in two days time so they can rest at his place before proceeding to my place for the marriage right.
But he told them not inform their wives about the location of their journey, they can just tell them that we are going to visit our friends in the nearby village which we may stay for two to three days or so.
Because their wives might gossip after they might have traveled and his wife would get to know about their plans and she might also try to stop them.
So they all agreed and travelled to the city and decided to tell their wives that they were going to different places.
And that was how my bride price was paid smoothly without any further distraction from anyone.
