Some heavy hands grabbed me into the bushes nearby. l struggled to let go from their strong grip but their fist were strongly on me. l couldn't see their faces, they were on face masks. One from behind instantly tied a cloth around my mouth in seconds. l struggled with the little power inside of me to be free but my little power was nothing compared to the big hands carrying me.
They kept on going deep into the bush. it seemed as though they knew the way around there. l could hear their heavy legs stepping on the fallen leaves. Each sound sent shiver down my spine. my mind did alot of thinking. l couldn't fathom where they were taking me to. l wondered if they were kidnappers. The thought of it made me shrink. l had often heard awful things about kidnappers. l had often read about them in books too.
My mind went to my poor mother, who was at home and must have been worried sick why l wasn't back home yet and my siblings who must have been back from school.
l wasn't too certain if they were kidnappers but one thing l was sure of was that that were harmful people.
My mind went to my high jamb score. The joy l felt for it had been substituted for the fear of the masked men. How was l going to relay my score to my family, friends and teachers. How was l going to be present to see the cyber cafe man paste my result in his shop and also get good comments from people. All this and many more were the thoughts running through my mind.
Soon they halted and l was thrown to the floor. l felt a sharp pain the moment my back hit the floor in a rough manner. l winced in pain with my tied mouth. l crawled back as l watched them whisper to themselves. They were four in number.
I scrutinized the environment with my eyes and all l saw were bushes. it dawned on me that they had taken me deep into the bush than l had imagined.
The tallest of them all approached me and stooped low beside me which made my heart flinched. He demonstrated the calm down sign with his hand then advanced to touch my chin. l turned my face away in fear with my eyes begging to let go. He pulled me aggressively with his hands and struggled to put me between his thigh. l was at this point that l realized that he want to rape me. l resisted his grip as l shifted back forcefully. The rest stood back and watch.
Amidst our struggles, l forcefully kicked him hard on his manhood, which made him groan in pain. It thundered all over the place. The other men rushed to his rescue. l quickly crawled back to the tree at my back. One of the men made to charge at me but the tall one pulled him back,
"l will handle her" He said to him. At the response of that, l felt my heart beat faster then normal.
The tall man walked swiftly to me , and landed a heavy blow on my face, in the process making me hit my head hard on the wooden tree at the back. l had barely recovered from that one when another followed and another followed and another followed and it kept on coming...
l felt my eyes bulging out. l felt life leaving me gradually. l felt my head bursting out the next second. Suddenly he stopped and stood up.
"Spread her legs!" He commanded the other men. The rate at which he commanded them made me certain that he was their boss.
l laid down like a log of wood, bankrupt of an atom of power to save myself. l felt immense pains as they roughly spread my legs wide open, leaving me almost paralyzed. painful tears streamed out of my eyes with my eyes pleading to let go and even my already weak body. if my mouth weren't tied, l would have begged in words and even offer to give them my little savings in exchange for my release. my hands could barely do a thing at this point.
The tall man approached me again, this time, pulling off his jean leaving him with just his underwear. He bended and with a grab, tore my skirt. He did same to my blouse. l was left almost naked with just my tight and bra that did little in covering my body. He proceeded to ripped them off in a twinkle of an eye. l was too weak to stop him; strength and life had virtually left me.
l laid still and felt a sharp pain beneath as he tried penetrating inside me. l wanted to speak up to let him know that l was a virgin but couldn't as my mouth was tied. He tried again and guess he sensed it then he called out to the other men,
"This one na virgin o" l heard him say to them, faintly.
He pushed inside me for the third time and continued that way. for every thrust that went in, l felt unbearable pains and for every one that went out, was nothing compared to the pains of the former..
l saw my life crambling before me, l didn't feel it, l saw it crambling before my very own eyes. my mouth shrinked out severe cries but they weren't heard, only my eyes brought out the tears.
The pain increased. He thrust harder and l could hear him moan loudly in pleasure. l felt my beneath burning like fire. lt must have been brutally abused.
At some point, l started seeing death calling unto me to come yonder. l became seriously afraid. l didn't want to die. l still had a long way ahead of me. l hadn't even tasted the sweet side of life yet. l still wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor. l couldn't lay still anymore. l had to struggle with the little or no power in me to free myself.
l managed to raised my weak hands and made to push him off my body but my hand could barely do a thing. l could have given up but the urge to save my life pushed me to try again. l garnered strength and raised both hands up to him. His face came closer to me as he thrust deeper and my hand swiftly pulled off his mask which revealed his face. l had never seen that face before.
"How dare you!!" He roared in anger and gave me a heavy punch right at the middle of my face. l saw the world turn upsidedown and gave up the ghost.
l couldn't say farewell to my family before departing. l was even given a chance to tell them about my jamb score on my first seat. l wasn't given a chance to fulfill my dream. What was my offence? l was only an innocent girl who was just focused on becoming useful in the future, but sadly my life was forcefully taken before the future got close. my name is AKUOMA and this is my story...
