 THE TIGER’S DEN

In the middle of the night Veer woke up, he glanced at his side, he met Livia sitting on the armchair already asleep, he got up on the bed gently and was about to cover with his jacket when Roxy came in, he asked Roxy to dropped the tray gentle on the table, he then sat down back on the bed.

“How are you feeling now, Boss?” Roxy asked, gazing at him.

“Good” He replied, nodding his head.

“Okay, this is the medication Dr.Neo prescribed for you to use” Roxy said as she stretched the drugs towards him, he gave him a glass cup of water to take the drugs.

After Veer was done taking the drugs, he brought his phone to check the messages from his client.

“Boss, Vito has captured Dr.Neo” Roxy said and he stopped what he was doing.

“What? How?” He half yelled then Livia woke up.

“Veer, you’re awake” Livia muttered.

She ran to him and sat down next to him on the bed.

“How did you allow Vito her hand on my doctor” He said with anger purely shown in his voice.

“Don’t worry, Veer…Roxy has told Spyder to kill him” Livia said and he was shocked.

“Who gave you permission to kill him? Roxy, if Spyder kill Mr Neo just know your brother will be dead…I will make sure I kill Spyder myself” He said.

He got down on the bed and went downstairs, getting to the kitchen, he walked towards the fridge and brought a bottle of war, he poured it in a glass cup, after the drinking the water, he inhaled and exhaled then went to sat down on the sofa.

“Veer, are you still mad at us?” Livia asked as she climbed the stairs down.

“Why won’t I be mad? Because I am dangerous doesn’t mean I want to kill everyone, I only kill and torture those people that hurt me in the past” He said, facing her.

“We are sorry, we don’t want Dr. Neo exposed us, that was the reason why Roxy told Spyder to silence him” Livia said, holding his hand.

He yanked his hand away.

“Roxy, tell Spyder to find a way to esca him out of there or else you will be dead” He said then went upstairs.

Immediately he left Roxy brought his phone to message Spyder, after she sent him the message Spyder replied. She dropped the phone on the table and heaved a sigh.

“Roxy, it’s okay…I know you did this to protect” Livia said, gazing at her.

She nodded as she walked away, she went to the shooting range to clear her mind, she got inside and picked a gunshot she gripped the gun with both hands, keeping a strong arm slightly bent, she shot short on the range, she kept shooting nonstop.

“Can’t he see how much I love him all he loves is his money and goods, he knows I did that not to expose him, but he still blames everything on me” Roxy thought.

With anger she kept shooting on the range, after some minutes, she dropped the pistol on the table as she sat down on a chair, she thought of everything.

“I have crush on him since the day he helped I and my brother on the street but he didn’t even take a glance at me… is not as if I wish to kill Dr.Neo but I did this to protect, I don’t want Vito to find out he has dementia” She muttered.

THE FOLLOWING MORNING

Veer was working on the system when he heard a knock on the door.

“Who is that?” He asked.

“It’s me, Boss” Roxy responded.

He asked her to come in, she came in with a tray of dishe and his medications, she dropped it on the table and stood there staring at him.

“What are you standing for? You may leave” He said, not taking his eyes off the system.

“I will leave after you eat and take your medications” She muttered.

He looked at her and his eyes locked with her, she quickly looked away.

“You may leave” He said in a deep voice.

She smirked and left his room.

Hours later, Veer was done working on his system, he got down on the bed and opened the dishes, it was a scrambled eggs tomato with a coffee, he covered it and took the coffee, he sipped from the coffee then went to the washroom to take a shower.

“He is so dangerous but has a soft heart” Roxy thought, sitting on the sofa.

Roxy got the living room and met Livia eating, she couldn’t eat because of the thought, all she could think of is how Spyder will take Dr. Neo out in Vito’s territory without getting caught, she knows if Spyder get caught there will be danger.

“Roxy” Livia called, jolting her out of her review.

“Hmm” She answered, facing her.

“Why don’t you go and eat? I know Spyder will not get caught easily so don’t worry everything will be fine” She assured.

Roxy nodded and sighed.

Not long after, Veer climbed the stairs down with the dishes, he hasn’t take his medications because he hate it.

“Brother, have you taken your medications” Livia asked, gazing at him.

Roxy stared at him.

“N…o…I mean Yes” He said, looking away.

“Hmm…I know you very well, you hate to take drugs so stop lying” Livia said, walking towards him.

“Livia, I’m not in the mood for this” He said, changing the question.

“I know you are trying to change the conversation but brother you need to take the medications regularly before your dementia, do you know how worried I was yesterday” She said, staring at him.

“Okay, fine” He said with a smile.

“Did you just smile?” Livia asked and immediately the smile wiped off his face.

The only person that made him smile is Livia, he trusts her so much and cares for her like siblings. After Veer was done taking his drugs, he asked Roxy to call Spyder so that they could confirm if Dr.Neo had escaped but Spyder didn’t pick.

“Roxy; send the boys to rescue Dr.Neo” Veer commanded.

“Boss, we can’t do that because it will ruin Spyder’s plan” She said, with her eyes glued to the floor.

“Is it because he is your brother that is the reason why you care about him so much..Roxy, whenever I gave you an order you won’t listen but want to make your decision, are you the Boss or I am the Boss, if you get me annoyed I will kill you instantly” He said, pointing his pistol at her.

“Veer, stop it please, you know Roxy care about you more than anyone so she isn’t saying that because of his brother, she saying that because she doesn’t want to ruin your plan” Livia said.

“I don’t care if she scares me or not but she should listen to my order or else I am gonna kill her” He said with a frown.

He glared dangerously at Roxy then sat down next to Livia.

“Livia, go and tell Striker and Smart to go and deliver the goods I send them to deliver” He said.

“Brother, they have gone to deliver it” Livia said, gazing at him.

He nodded slowly.

VITO’S TERRITORY

As soon as Spyder saw Roxy’s message, he heaved a sigh of relief because he doesn’t want to kill Dr.Neo, the only problem he has right now is how to make Dr. Neo escapes from the place. He was In the torture room speaking with Shorty when Swifty came in.

“Boss wants to see you” Swifty said as she faced Spyder.

“Okay” He nodded.

“Swifty, can you stay? I want to go and use the restroom” Shorty said, gazing at her.

“No” She said as she walked out with Spyder.

“There is not a way you can escape from here” Shorty muttered then left.

Swifty and Spyder got to the living room and met Vito counting his money.

“Boss, you wanted to see me” Spyder said, staring at the floor.

“Yes, I want you to deliver goods to Mr Mekhi, he just arrived here, I have sent you his location” Vito said.

“Okay, Boss” He muttered.

Vito gave him the briefcase, he pretended to leave. He got outside and entered the window through the secret door, he unchained Dr.Neo then took him out. They got outside and hopped into the car, Spyder drove off.

Hours later, he got to Veer’s Mansion, he looked around as he walked in with Dr.Neo. Getting to the living room, he met Veer busy working.

“Boss” He called and Veer raised his head.

“Spyder” Veer muttered.

“Yes, Boss” He answered.

“You did a good job, I would have killed your sister if you hadn’t made it” Veer said, gazing at him.

“Boss, I need to leave now Vito sent me to deliver his goods to one of his clients” He said with his glued to the floor.

“To who?” Veer asked.

“To Mr Mekhi, a man from India that just arrived here yesterday’s night” He replied.

“Oh! When you are back I want you to send Roxy details of the man” Veer said and he nodded then he left while Dr.Neo was taken to a room by Roxy.

“Brother, where is Spyder? I thought I heard his voice now” Livia said as she climbed down the stairs.

“He just left” Veer replied.

“What?” She exclaimed then rushed out but before she got outside, he already left.

She went back inside.

“Brother, why didn’t you tell me Spyder was coming here” She pouted.

“Livia, I am busy right now, leave me alone” Veer said and she scoffed.

She went upstairs angrily. Immediately after she left, Roxy showed up and stood next to Veer.

“Roxy, Spyder is gonna send you the details of a man. I want you to find him and bring him here” He said as he faced her.

“Okay, Boss” Roxy nodded.

“Vito, very soon I am gonna come to you” He mumbled.
