CHAPTER 7~ The Pain 
VITO’S TERRITORY
Vito was sitting on the sofa smoking and drinking when Miklo showed up, he greeted him and he responded as he puffed out the smoke of the cigarette.
“How is the job? Do you find out the person that made me lost my goods on the sea” He questioned, gazing at him.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t competent… I didn’t find…them” Miklo stuttered and he was angry.
“Since three days you have travelled to Spain, you didn’t find them and you came here alive when you are on your way here, don’t you think I can kill you if you show up” He said with anger.
“Boss, I’m sorry. Can you give me another two weeks to do some investigation about them, please” Miklo said with his eyes glued to the floor.
“Spyder” Vito called, ignoring him.
Immediately Spyder showed up, Miklo begged Vito but he ignored and ordered Spyder to take him to the torture.
“Boss…”
“You want to plead for his life right?” Vito frowned.
“No, I want to tell you that Shine is still locked in the torture and she hasn’t eaten since morning… Should I lock Miklo also in the torture” Spyder said, gazing at him.
“Okay, take Shine back to the dark room and give her food tonight after tonight don’t give her any food until after two days” He commanded.
Spyder nodded and took Miklo away. When they got to the torture room, they met Shine still chained, Spyder moved closer to her and tried to wake her up but she already passed out, he immediately poured on her face then she opened her eyes, he unchained her. He made her sit down on the chair, he then chained Miklo after he was done, he took Shine to the dark room. He ordered Shorty to get dishes for her in the kitchen, Shorty was reluctant at first but he had no choice because Spyder senior him so he went to the kitchen to get her dishes.
Spyder felt so pitiful for Shine, she suffered because of her Dad. Not long after Shorty showed up holding a tray of dishes, he dropped it on the table then left, Spyder was about to leave when Shine held his leg.
“Can you please feed me, I don’t have the energy to feed myself” Shine said in a whisper.
“I wish I could but I can’t cause Boss mustn’t find out… can you see what he did to Swifty today when she helped you” Spyder said as he walked away.
After Spyder left, Shine managed to get up, she was shivering because she hasn’t changed the wet clothes since morning, she moved the dishes towards her then began to eat faster, she rushed the food in her mouth as hot tears rolled down her cheek, the food is too spicy and there was only little water in the glass cup. As soon as she was done eating, she felt so thirsty but there was no water, she lay down on the floor and burst into tears.
“Why is this happening to me? Is this my destiny” She said as more tears rolled down her cheek.

Shorty left the place and was heading outside when Rubella showed up, she smiled at him, walking towards him.
“How was it? Do you add the spicy ingredients in her dishes” Rubell asked and he nodded.
“I also give her a little water” Shorty said with a smile.
Immediately they saw Ms. Lillian walked towards them, they changed the topics then left. Ms. Lillian shook her head and went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water then she went to the Shine’s room, she begged the guards standing in front of the door to open the door for her, they did. She got inside and was shocked to see Shine shivering, she rushed towards her and touched her head.
“Oh God, she has a temperature… Shine” She called.
Shine opened her eyes slowly, she gave her water to drink, Shine gulped the water and asked for more. As soon as she was done drinking the water Ms. Lillian rushed to her room to get clothes and drugs. She was going to Shine’s room when someone called her, it turned out to be Vito.
“Ms. Lillian, what do you think you are doing?” He questioned with a frown.
“Vito, she is not feeling well and she has…”
Vito interrupted her before she could complete her statement.
“I know but I didn’t ask you to take care of her” He said, interrupting her.
“Vito, don’t be too heartless, the girl is so weak” She said.
“And so what?” He said with anger lamed in his voice.
“Did you know that Rubella asked Shorty to add spicy to her dishes and gave her a little water… why are you guys so heartless, she was not the one that stole your money, why are you torturing her so much” Ms. Lillian half yelled.
“Ms. Lillian, do you remember what made me become so heartless? I don’t want to offend you so please leave” He said and was about to leave when she stood in front of him.
“If the poor girl died because of you, I will never forgive you” She said and glared at him then left.
“I don’t care” He muttered, climbing the stairs up.
He went back to his room.
The following morning^^
Vito was working on his system in the living room when his mind drifted to what happened yesterday, he order one of the guards to call Rubell. Not long after Rubella showed up, immediately he set his eyes on her, he moved closer to her and strangled her neck.
“Did I ask you to torture her?” He said with anger shown in his voice.
“Vito…what do…do you…mean” She stuttered.
“You are still pretending, you thought i won’t find out that you ordered Shorty to add spicy to Shine’s food” He said in anger.
“I’m sorry, Vito… I don’t mean…to do…this but you made me do it” She said and he slapped her.
“If you don’t keep that dirty mouth of yours shut, I am gonna kill you right here. Rubella, don’t get to my throat cause if you I will think twice before I kill you and dumped your corpse, don’t think I still care for you the way I cared before” He said, glaring dangerously at her.
“I’m..sorry” She apologised and he released her neck.
She coughed trying to catch her breath.
“Spyder, lock Shorty also in the torture and you must not give him any food for the whole week” Spyder nodded.
“Boss, Tanker is coming back here today” Spyder mutterd.
“For what? Didn’t I ask him to stay in Russia with Razor” Vito said as he faced him.
“Yes but he said Bouncer is gonna stay with Razor to secure the goods and moreover we still have some drugs to deliver, there is nobody to deliver it” Spyder said.
“What about Swifty? Get her here to go and deliver the goods to Mr Payaso” He commanded.
“But Boss…”
“What but? You want to tell me she is still weak because I tortured her yesterday…leave” He said then Spyder left.
A minute later, Swifty showed up putting on a black dressed with a face cap, she greeted Vito but she didn’t even glanced at her, she took the briefcase and left to deliver the drugs, getting outside she hopped on her power bike, she rode off.
